About Us
Rebuilding Together Greater Harrisburg (RTGH) has proudly served the community for over 30 years! Our mission is simply repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. Guided by our vision of safe homes and communities for everyone, we work to ensure our neighbors can remain in their homes with dignity and security by making repairs where they’re needed most.
Who We Are
RTGH is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We’re guided by a local volunteer Board of Directors who choose which homes we work on, how we raise funds, and ways we recruit volunteers to do the repairs.
RTGH has one part-time executive director who works from home. We keep our operating costs low so the most of our funds go directly to helping the homeowners in need — at no cost to them.
We take financial responsibility seriously. We track how money is spent, making sure donations and grants get used as intended. We are always looking for ways to stretch our resources through partnerships and smart planning.
Volunteers are at the heart of our mission. Their time, energy, and skills make a real difference in the lives of the people we serve!
But, volunteers can’t do it alone. Our work is only possible through the generous support of financial donors. These donations provide the materials and supplies needed to fix the homes of older adults, people with disabilities, veterans, and families with children.
Our work is making a difference. A survey by the national office of Rebuilding Together asked homeowners about life changes they noticed after receiving repairs. The results showed just how much of an impact these projects have on health, safety, and well being!
