If you or someone you know is a homeowner needing assistance with home improvements, please an application.

To be considered for selection, the homeowner must:

  1. be the the legal owner of the home. The title of the home will need to be presented to RTGH for verification;
  2. be considered “low income” in accordance with the RTGH Board’s standards and HUD Federal guidelines;
  3. be elderly (over the age of 60), physically disabled, a veteran of war or have a family with children;
  4. be current on all property taxes and have no leins or judgments against the property;
  5. have exhausted all financial and family means to complete the repairs;
  6. live in Dauphin, Cumberland, or Perry counties; or Upper York county (north of Route 30);
  7. have lived in their house for at least three (3) years.

Note: The schedule for work on approved houses is based on the RTGH’s current availability of funding, volunteers and other scheduled projects already in the queue. There could be a waiting period of twelve months or longer.
